Ron Paul's son may run for Senate

Congressman Ron Paul's son Rand is going to run for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Jim Bunning if Bunning ultimately decides not to run, he said Thursday night."We will need a conservative to run against that liberal David Williams," Dr. Paul, 46, a Bowling Green opthamologist, said."Bunning has been treated unfairly," he said. "It's been his finest hour within the last year or so with his votes on the bailouts.""David Williams has given up the ghost on the budget. He didn't even put up a fight on raising taxes."
It could be a significant development. Considering Ron Paul raised $34,534,903 for his presidential campaign, which included millions from so-called "money bomb" events, Rand's entry would generate quite a bit of buzz among grassroots supporters -- and national media outlets.
